Emily Staszak is senior Classical and Medieval Studies major with
an abnormally low singing voice, earning her the nickname within the tenors and basses of
"honorary dude." In her spare time she loves to sing and dance around her room while
blasting Broadway show tunes (and she hopes her neighbors don't hate her too much for it.)
Her other interests include watching excessive amounts of soccer, being crazy with her
older sisters, and spending way too much time talking about her cats and her amazingly
adorable cocker spaniel, Brittany. She'd like to take this opportunity to tell TakeNote
tenor Pat that he is pretty cute and to ask if maybe they could hang out some time?
Molly is a junior and a wannabe bass. Alas, her range is about 2 octaves too high. She
is an unofficial member of Alaskans Anonymous, a group of people addicted to the last
frontier. Molly's favorite color is cerulean but her favorite word is periwinkle. She
dislikes heavy metal and people that recline their seats on airplanes. Molly really likes
giving and receiving hugs. She is headed for the shadows of Kilimanjaro during Winter
2010.
Hank Geng hails from the fair city of New York, and is of the class of 2013.
He is considering being either an Economics or an Environmental Studies
major. In his spare time he enjoys watching TV, listening to his favorite
music, drinking soy milk, reading extremely meaningful books, doing yoga,
and kicking..erm.. hugging puppies. Singing is fun too.
Shannon loves the Food Network and Jennifer Garner (who happens to have a dog named Martha Stewart, go figure!) As a biochemistry and math major, you can often find her in the lab, though she secretly wishes she was a CIA agent. Her singing career began in a car seat, when she got her first solo in the back of her mom's minivan during a family road trip. She comes from a loud family with three older sisters, so out of necessity she learned to project early on. A few of her favorite things are: naps, sheep, her sisters, and snowflakes that stay on her nose and eyelashes.
Kate Fetrow is a freshman and a soprano. When not singing, she acts, debates and enjoys a
good cup of tea. One fun fact about Kate is that she lived in Australia (Party with the Kangaroos!). Another is that
she is really bad at being witty in this sort of thing.
Chris Chiappetti is from Simsbury, Connecticut where he spends his time playing tennis or
Ping Pong or honing his bass skillz. He thoroughly enjoys singing, but enjoys the
wonderful bass "dumm's and doo's" too much to sink to the level of a tenor. He tries to
be funny during rehearsal but perhaps he is not always successful. He is a die-hard
Yankees fan, and if a playoff game is on during rehearsal, he'll be watching. Keep an
eye (or ear) out for Chris' sultry bass riffs.
Amanda, who hails from the evergreen state (WA!) came to Maine to experience white
winters. A Nordic, Telemark and Backcountry skier, she also loves doing anything
outdoors, especially when it involves mountains. Convinced that the best place to sing is
a mountain top, she is hoping for a Mt. David concert before she graduates. Amanda is
also interested in geology (no surprise there), environmental studies, Spanish and art.
